About Renaissance Gardens
Renaissance Gardens is an environment whose goal is to preserve each person's independence as much as possible. There are two “living styles” in this neighborhood. One is Assisted Living (ALF) and the other is Skilled Nursing (SNF). Each style of living offers private rooms with an emergency pull cord in the bathroom and by the bed. If an emergency pull cord is pulled the call goes directly to the nurse in charge of that room. Rooms in the skilled nursing area are furnished. Residents are encouraged to decorate the room with pictures and knickknacks. In the assisted living units residents bring their own furniture to create a familiar home atmosphere. On both levels there are several double rooms available to accommodate couples.
Each resident has an individually designed service plan so the staff that serves them best meets their needs. This plan is based on their preferences for daily activity along with their particular health needs. For Assisted Living the plan is called an Individualized Service Plan, whereas in Skilled Nursing Care it's called an Individualized Care Plan. Each plan is developed by the resident’s Care Team, which consists of members of our nursing, dining, activities, social work (and sometimes therapy or mental health) departments. The Care Team meets with the residents and their family members on a regular basis to create and maintain a healthy blueprint for living at Renaissance Gardens.
Renaissance Gardens is approved for Medicare. Residents in the Independent Living side of Greenspring Village can stay in the nursing center when recovering from hospitalization due to stroke, a broken hip, or other accidents or illnesses. Visitors are welcome 24 hours a day.
